BIRDS OF PASSAGE

Staying means certain annihilation. Leaving could mean the same. Sixty years after the collapse of civilization four survivors must abandon their death-plagued farm. Will they discover a hidden paradise in the ravaged wilds of Canada? Or will death find them first?

Fraser, a sentimental giant of a man, is desperate to find a new site for his community. But murder, followed by capture by a cult based on human sacrifice, transform the expedition into a nightmare. Looming like a sinister force over the quest is the figure of Fraser's father. Alcoholic, syphilitic, deranged, he follows Fraser through the wilderness, determined in his delusional way to protect him, right up to the shocking climax.
